810 provided by chemical dependency treatment facilities.
911 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1012 SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 464, Health and Safety
1113 Code, is amended by adding Section 464.021 to read as follows:
1214 Sec. 464.021. SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER DATA COLLECTION. (a)
1315 In this section, "commission" means the Health and Human Services
1416 Commission.
1517 (b) The commission, in cooperation with the department,
1618 shall collect relevant admission, discharge, and transfer data
1719 relating to treatment facilities licensed under this chapter in a
1820 manner necessary to:
1921 (1) satisfy applicable data set requirements
2022 published by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
2123 Administration of the United States Department of Health and Human
2224 Services; and
2325 (2) maximize the overall state allotment of federal
2426 funds.
2527 (c) The commission shall collect and report data described
2628 by Subsection (b) in a manner that complies with state and federal
2729 laws regarding confidentiality. The data collected is not public
2830 information under Chapter 552, Government Code.
2931 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
