12 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
13 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 551, Health and Safety | |
14 | 12 | Code, is amended by adding Section 551.008 to read as follows: | |
15 | 13 | Sec. 551.008. REGIONAL LAUNDRY CENTERS. A regional laundry | |
16 | 14 | center operated by the commission to provide laundry services to | |
17 | 15 | department facilities may contract with federal agencies, other | |
18 | 16 | state agencies, or local political subdivisions to provide or | |
19 | 17 | receive laundry services. | |
20 | 18 | SECTION 2. Section 551.009(c), Health and Safety Code, is | |
21 | 19 | amended to read as follows: | |
22 | - | (c) The local mental health authority shall contract | |
23 | - | Kerrville State Hospital to provide food service, laundry | |
24 | - | and lawn care to the local mental health authority | |
25 | - | crisis stabilization unit on the grounds of the | |
26 | - | Hospital as provided by this section. | |

31 | 29 | authorization and may delay implementing that provision until the | |
32 | 30 | waiver or authorization is granted. | |
33 | 31 | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
34 | 32 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
35 | 33 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
36 | 34 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
37 | 35 | Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
