| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. The amount of $2.5 billion is appropriated from | |
| 12 | 12 | the economic stabilization fund to the General Land Office for the | |
| 13 | 13 | state fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2019, for the purposes | |
| 14 | 14 | of engaging in flood mitigation projects in this state, rebuilding | |
| 15 | 15 | infrastructure damaged by Hurricane Harvey, and repairing dams and | |
| 16 | 16 | reservoirs in this state. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019, but only | |
| 18 | 18 | if it receives a vote of two-thirds of the members present in each | |
| 19 | 19 | house of the legislature, as provided by Section 49-g(m), Article | |
| 20 | 20 | III, Texas Constitution. |
