410 AN ACT
511 relating to authorizing tastings by certain alcoholic beverage
612 manufacturers at certain events.
713 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
814 SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 109, Alcoholic Beverage
915 Code, is amended by adding Section 109.541 to read as follows:
1016 Sec. 109.541. TASTINGS AT CERTAIN FESTIVALS AND CIVIC
1117 CELEBRATIONS. A person who holds a license or permit to manufacture
1218 alcoholic beverages in this state may conduct product tastings
1319 without the issuance of another license or permit under this code if
1420 those tastings are conducted:
1521 (1) as part of and under the direction of the "Go
1622 Texan" Partner Program under Chapter 46, Agriculture Code; and
1723 (2) during a festival or civic celebration that:
1824 (A) has been held near-annually for at least 100
1925 years; and
2026 (B) is at least 21 days long.
2127 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
