7 | 7 | relating to a study on the adequacy of resources provided to foster | |
8 | 8 | parents by the Department of Family and Protective Services. | |
9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. (a) The Department of Family and Protective | |
11 | 11 | Services shall conduct a study to evaluate whether the department | |
12 | 12 | provides foster parents with adequate resources to ensure that | |
13 | 13 | foster parents are able to comply with all of the regulations | |
14 | 14 | relating to providing care for a child in the conservatorship of the | |
15 | 15 | department. | |
16 | 16 | (b) Not later than September 1, 2020, the department shall | |
17 | 17 | prepare and submit to the legislature a written report containing | |
18 | 18 | the results of the study and any recommendations for legislative or | |
19 | 19 | other action. | |
20 | 20 | (c) This Act expires September 1, 2021. | |
21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
