| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Sec. 292.151, Health and Safety Code, is amended | |
| 10 | 10 | by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | (f) For a county described in Section 292.002(1), the phrase | |
| 12 | 12 | "institutional health care provider located in the county," as used | |
| 13 | 13 | in subsection (a), shall include hospital services provided in any | |
| 14 | 14 | facility located in the county, even if the hospital | |
| 15 | 15 | providing such | |
| 16 | 16 | services is not licensed in the county. Such county may determine | |
| 17 | 17 | the net patient revenue attributable to the facility located in the | |
| 18 | 18 | county based on publicly available information. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 20 | 20 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 21 | 21 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 22 | 22 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 23 | 23 | Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
