| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 2052.0021, Government Code, is amended | |
| 10 | 10 | by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | (f) Notwithstanding a law that requires a state agency to | |
| 12 | 12 | submit a report to the legislature for an indefinite period, a state | |
| 13 | 13 | agency: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) is not required to submit the report to the | |
| 15 | 15 | legislature after the 10th anniversary of the date the state agency | |
| 16 | 16 | first submitted the report to the legislature; and | |
| 17 | 17 | (2) shall state in each report submitted under the law | |
| 18 | 18 | requiring the report the date after which the agency is not required | |
| 19 | 19 | to submit the report to the legislature as provided by Subdivision | |
| 20 | 20 | (1). | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
