| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 42.043, Human Resources Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (g) Except as provided by Subsection (d)(1), a privately | |
| 13 | 13 | owned and operated child-care facility regulated under this chapter | |
| 14 | 14 | may require each child admitted to the facility to be current on | |
| 15 | 15 | immunizations in accordance with the schedule adopted under Section | |
| 16 | 16 | 161.004, Health and Safety Code. The exemptions from immunization | |
| 17 | 17 | described by Subsection (d)(2) and Section 161.004(d)(1), Health | |
| 18 | 18 | and Safety Code, do not apply to children seeking admission to the | |
| 19 | 19 | facility. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
