| 10 | 10 | Sec. 92.3516. REQUIREMENT OF TENANT LIABILITY INSURANCE. A | |
| 11 | 11 | landlord shall require a tenant to obtain or maintain during the | |
| 12 | 12 | lease term liability insurance in an amount not less than $100,000 | |
| 13 | 13 | for each occurrence of damage to the landlord's property caused by | |
| 14 | 14 | the tenant as a condition of the tenant's lease with the landlord. | |
| 15 | 15 | SECTION 2. Section 92.3516, Property Code, as added by this | |
| 16 | 16 | Act, applies only to a lease entered into or renewed on or after the | |
| 17 | 17 | effective date of this Act. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
