| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 1551.1055(a), Insurance Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) Except as provided by Subsection (c)[, (d),] or (e), | |
| 13 | 13 | eligibility under Section 1551.101 begins not later than the first | |
| 14 | 14 | [90th] day that [after the date] the employee performs services for | |
| 15 | 15 | a state agency or is qualified for and begins to hold elected or | |
| 16 | 16 | appointed office. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. Section 1551.1055(d), Insurance Code, is | |
| 18 | 18 | repealed. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
