| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 54, Water Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | by adding Section 54.104 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 54.104. INFORMATION ON CERTAIN DISTRICTS' INTERNET | |
| 13 | 13 | WEBSITES. (a) This section applies only to a district that has 250 | |
| 14 | 14 | or more registered voters. | |
| 15 | 15 | (b) A district shall publish on the district's Internet | |
| 16 | 16 | website: | |
| 17 | 17 | (1) the directors' names; | |
| 18 | 18 | (2) contact information for the district; | |
| 19 | 19 | (3) the minutes for any meeting held by the district; | |
| 20 | 20 | (4) at least three days before the date of a meeting | |
| 21 | 21 | held by the district, the agenda of the meeting; and | |
| 22 | 22 | (5) at least 30 days before the date of an election for | |
| 23 | 23 | the board, information about the election, including the purpose of | |
| 24 | 24 | the election. | |
| 25 | 25 | (c) If appropriate, a district shall respond within a | |
| 26 | 26 | reasonable period of time to a person who contacts the district | |
| 27 | 27 | through the information listed on the district's Internet website | |
| 28 | 28 | under Subsection (b). | |
| 29 | 29 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
