| 6 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 7 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 825, Health and Safety Code, is amended |
|---|
| 8 | 15 | | by adding Subchapter D to read as follows: |

| 9 | 16 | | SUBCHAPTER D. CONTROL OF PREDATORY ANIMALS |
|---|
| 10 | 17 | | Sec. 825.051. MUNICIPAL CONTROL OF COYOTES. A municipality |
|---|
| 11 | 18 | | with a population density of more than 2,500 persons per square |
|---|
| 12 | 19 | | mile may capture, relocate, or euthanize a coyote located within |
|---|
| 13 | 20 | | the municipality or the municipality's extraterritorial |
|---|
| 14 | 21 | | jurisdiction. The municipality may request assistance from Texas |
|---|
| 15 | 22 | | Wildlife Services to capture, relocate, or euthanize a coyote. |
|---|
| 16 | 23 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 17 | 24 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 18 | 25 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 19 | 26 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 20 | 27 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
