79 relating to a study and report on the optimum water level of Falcon
810 Lake.
911 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1012 SECTION 1. STUDY AND REPORT. (a) The Parks and Wildlife
1113 Department and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality
1214 jointly shall conduct a study on the optimum water level of Falcon
1315 Lake. The study must examine:
1416 (1) the optimum water level for recreational fishing;
1517 and
1618 (2) the factors that contribute to the rise and fall in
1719 water levels.
1820 (b) Not later than December 1, 2020, the Parks and Wildlife
1921 Department and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality shall
2022 submit to the governor, lieutenant governor, and speaker of the
2123 house of representatives a report that includes:
2224 (1) the findings of the study conducted under this
2325 section; and
2426 (2) recommendations on maintaining the optimum water
2527 level for recreational fishing on Falcon Lake.
2628 SECTION 2. EXPIRATION DATE. This Act expires September 1,
2729 2021.
2830 SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act takes effect
2931 immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members
3032 elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas
3133 Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for
3234 immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
