| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 41, Education Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 41.0032 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 41.0032. INCLUSION OF STUDENTS ATTENDING | |
| 15 | 15 | OPEN-ENROLLMENT CHARTER SCHOOLS IN DETERMINING WEIGHTED AVERAGE | |
| 16 | 16 | DAILY ATTENDANCE. Notwithstanding Section 41.001(3), a student | |
| 17 | 17 | residing in the boundaries of a school district who is attending an | |
| 18 | 18 | open-enrollment charter school is included in calculating the | |
| 19 | 19 | district's weighted average daily attendance. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
