410 AN ACT
511 relating to the use of funds appropriated for the continuing legal
612 education of certain appointed masters, magistrates, referees, and
713 associate judges.
814 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
915 SECTION 1. Section 56.003(b), Government Code, is amended
1016 to read as follows:
1117 (b) No more than one-third of the funds appropriated for any
1218 fiscal year shall be used for the continuing legal education of
1319 judges of appellate courts, district courts, county courts at law,
1420 county courts performing judicial functions, full-time associate
1521 judges and masters appointed pursuant to Chapter 201, Family Code,
1622 and full-time and part-time masters, magistrates, referees, and
1723 associate judges appointed pursuant to Chapter 54 or 54A as
1824 required by the court of criminal appeals under Section 74.025 and
1925 of their court personnel.
2026 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
