8 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

9 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 154, Occupations Code, is |
---|
10 | 10 | | amended by adding Section 154.0555 to read as follows: |

11 | 11 | | Sec. 154.0555. SUBMISSION OF CERTAIN COMPLAINTS TO |
---|
12 | 12 | | LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEES. (a) The board shall submit to each |
---|
13 | 13 | | standing committee of the legislature having primary jurisdiction |
---|
14 | 14 | | over the board a copy of any complaint submitted to the board by a |
---|
15 | 15 | | license holder regarding the board or an employee of the board, |
---|
16 | 16 | | including a complaint regarding the manner in which the board has |
---|
17 | 17 | | conducted an investigation of the license holder. |
---|
18 | 18 | | (b) The board shall submit the complaint and any related |
---|
19 | 19 | | information provided to the board not later than the 30th day after |
---|
20 | 20 | | the date the board receives the complaint or information. |
---|
21 | 21 | | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
---|
22 | 22 | | to a complaint filed on or after the effective date of this Act. A |
---|
23 | 23 | | complaint filed before the effective date of this Act is governed by |
---|
24 | 24 | | the law in effect on the date the complaint was filed, and the |
---|
25 | 25 | | former law is continued in effect for that purpose. |

26 | 26 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
