410 AN ACT
511 relating to the designation of a portion of U.S. Highway 59 in
612 Harris County as the Commissioner El Franco Lee Memorial Highway.
713 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
814 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
915 is amended by adding Section 225.152 to read as follows:
1016 Sec. 225.152. COMMISSIONER EL FRANCO LEE MEMORIAL HIGHWAY.
1117 (a) The portion of U.S. Highway 59 in Harris County between its
1218 intersection with Interstate Highway 10 and its intersection with
1319 Loop 610 is designated as the Commissioner El Franco Lee Memorial
1420 Highway. This designation is in addition to any other designation.
1521 (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
1622 (1) design and construct markers indicating the
1723 designation as the Commissioner El Franco Lee Memorial Highway and
1824 any other appropriate information; and
1925 (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at
2026 appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
2127 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
