A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the disclosure of interested parties by business
entities contracting with open-enrollment charter schools.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 2252.908(a)(2), Government Code, is
amended to read as follows:
(2) "Governmental entity" means a municipality,
county, public school district, open-enrollment charter school
established under Subchapter D, Chapter 12, Education Code, or
special-purpose district or authority.
SECTION 2. Section 2252.908, Government Code, as amended by
this Act, applies only to a contract subject to that section that is
entered into, amended, or renewed on or after the effective date of
this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect January 1, 2020.
