| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 2252.908(a)(2), Government Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (2) "Governmental entity" means a municipality, | |
| 13 | 13 | county, public school district, open-enrollment charter school | |
| 14 | 14 | established under Subchapter D, Chapter 12, Education Code, or | |
| 15 | 15 | special-purpose district or authority. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. Section 2252.908, Government Code, as amended by | |
| 17 | 17 | this Act, applies only to a contract subject to that section that is | |
| 18 | 18 | entered into, amended, or renewed on or after the effective date of | |
| 19 | 19 | this Act. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect January 1, 2020. |
