| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter L, Chapter 43, Parks and Wildlife | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, is amended by adding Section 43.3635 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 43.3635. RELEASE BY CERTAIN DEER BREEDING FACILITIES | |
| 13 | 13 | TO LOW-FENCED ACREAGE. (a) A deer breeding facility with the | |
| 14 | 14 | highest status transfer category as determined by commission rule | |
| 15 | 15 | may release breeder deer to a low-fenced site that: | |
| 16 | 16 | (1) includes at least 5,000 acres of contiguous land; | |
| 17 | 17 | and | |
| 18 | 18 | (2) is within 200 miles of the deer breeding facility. | |
| 19 | 19 | (b) The commission shall adopt rules governing a release of | |
| 20 | 20 | breeder deer under this section. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
