9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 18.069, Election Code, is amended to | |
11 | 11 | read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | Sec. 18.069. VOTING HISTORY. (a) Not later than the 30th | |
13 | 13 | day after the date of the primary, runoff primary, or general | |
14 | 14 | election or any special election ordered by the governor, the | |
15 | 15 | registrar shall electronically submit to the secretary of state the | |
16 | 16 | record of each voter participating in the election. The record | |
17 | 17 | must include a notation of whether the voter: | |
18 | 18 | (1) voted on election day;[,] | |
19 | 19 | (2) voted early by personal appearance;[,] | |
20 | 20 | (3) voted early by mail under Chapter 86;[, or] | |
21 | 21 | (4) voted early by mail under Chapter 101; or | |
22 | 22 | (5) voted provisionally and the reason the voter cast | |
23 | 23 | a provisional ballot. | |
24 | 24 | (b) The secretary of state shall adopt rules to implement | |
25 | 25 | this section. | |
26 | 26 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
