16 | | - | FACILITIES OPERATED BY DEPARTMENT. (a) The department shall |

17 | | - | contract with a qualified independent vendor to conduct a study on |

18 | | - | reducing the air temperature in facilities operated by the |
---|
19 | | - | department. The study must: |
---|
20 | | - | (1) identify the most cost-effective measures to |
---|
21 | | - | reduce the air temperature; |
---|
22 | | - | (2) estimate the costs to the department of |
---|
23 | | - | implementing those measures; and |
---|
24 | | - | (3) estimate the amount of time necessary to implement |
---|
25 | | - | those measures. |
---|
26 | | - | (b) Not later than August 31, 2020, the department shall |
---|
27 | | - | prepare and submit to the governor, the lieutenant governor, the |
---|
28 | | - | speaker of the house of representatives, and each standing |
---|
29 | | - | committee of the legislature having primary jurisdiction over the |
---|
30 | | - | department a written report that summarizes the results of the |
---|
31 | | - | study conducted under this section. |
---|
32 | | - | (c) This section expires January 1, 2021. |

33 | | - | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
