44 A JOINT RESOLUTION
55 proposing a constitutional amendment to authorize the legislature
66 to exempt from ad valorem taxation the portion of the assessed value

99 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Article VIII, Texas Constitution, is amended by
1111 adding Subsection 1-p to read as follows:
1212 Sec. 1-p. The legislature by general law may exempt from ad
1313 valorem taxation the portion of the assessed value of a person's
1414 property that is attributable to the installation in or on the
1515 property of a rainwater harvesting or graywater system.
1616 SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be
1717 submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 5, 2019.
1818 The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the
1919 proposition: "The constitutional amendment to authorize the
2020 legislature to exempt from ad valorem taxation the portion of the
2121 assessed value of a person's property that is attributable to the
2222 installation in or on the property of a rainwater harvesting or
2323 graywater system."
