| 7 | 12 | | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 13 | | SECTION 1. Section 5(g), Article VII, Texas Constitution, |

| 9 | 14 | | is amended to read as follows: |

| 10 | 15 | | (g) Notwithstanding any other provision of this |

| 11 | 16 | | constitution or of a statute, the State Board of Education, the |
|---|
| 12 | 17 | | General Land Office, or another [an] entity [other than the State |

| 13 | 18 | | Board of Education] that has responsibility for the management of |
|---|
| 14 | 19 | | revenues derived from permanent school fund land or other |
|---|
| 15 | 20 | | properties may, in its sole discretion and in addition to other |
|---|
| 16 | 21 | | distributions authorized under this constitution or a statute, |

| 17 | 22 | | distribute to the available school fund each year revenue derived |

| 18 | 23 | | during that year from the land or properties, not to exceed $600 |

| 20 | 25 | | SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be |
