| 10 | 10 | amended by amending Subsection (a) and adding Subsection (f) to | |
| 11 | 11 | read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) The Legislature shall pass laws prohibiting lotteries | |
| 13 | 13 | and gift enterprises in this State other than those authorized by | |
| 14 | 14 | Subsections (b), (d), (d-1), [and] (e), and (f) of this section. | |
| 15 | 15 | (f) The legislature by law may authorize and regulate the | |
| 16 | 16 | placing of wagers on professional and collegiate sports. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be | |
| 18 | 18 | submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 5, 2019. | |
| 19 | 19 | The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the | |
| 20 | 20 | proposition: "The constitutional amendment authorizing the | |
| 21 | 21 | legislature to legalize sports betting in this state." |
