9+ HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
510 proposing a constitutional amendment permitting a person to hold
611 more than one office as a municipal judge at the same time.
712 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
813 SECTION 1. Section 40, Article XVI, Texas Constitution, is
914 amended by adding Subsection (e) to read as follows:
1015 (e) Notwithstanding Subsections (a) and (c) of this
1116 section, a person may hold more than one office as an elected or
1217 appointed municipal judge in more than one municipality at the same
1318 time.
1419 SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be
1520 submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 5, 2019.
1621 The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the
1722 proposition: "The constitutional amendment permitting a person to
1823 hold more than one office as a municipal judge at the same time."
