| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Madison Jury of the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Jury successfully met |

| 9 | 10 | | a series of requirements emphasizing community service, personal |

| 10 | 11 | | and spiritual growth, positive values, and leadership skills; as |

| 11 | 12 | | part of that process, she planned and implemented a Girl Scout Gold |

| 12 | 13 | | Award project that will have a positive and lasting impact in her |
|---|

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, By fostering self-confidence and by encouraging |

| 15 | 16 | | young women to explore career opportunities and to become more |

| 16 | 17 | | socially conscious, the Girl Scout program is helping its |

| 17 | 18 | | participants to achieve their greatest potential as engaged |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Jury has |

| 20 | 21 | | demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest |

| 21 | 22 | | ideals of the Girl Scouts, and she may indeed reflect with pride on |

| 22 | 23 | | a job well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |

| 24 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Madison Jury on her receipt of the |
