| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |

| 6 | 7 | | of Madeline Hinds Haire of Spring Branch, who passed away on January |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Claude and Mabel Hinds, the former |

| 9 | 10 | | Madeline Hinds was born in 1937, and she grew up in DeSoto Parish, |

| 10 | 11 | | Louisiana, with three siblings, Terral, Jerry, and Gloria; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Haire was the devoted mother of three |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | daughters, Sharon, Sheila, and Shelley, and she had the pleasure of |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | seeing her family grow to include three grandsons, Michael, Joey, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | and Joshua, and a great-granddaughter, Olivia; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Later in life, Mrs. Haire moved from Louisiana to |

| 16 | 17 | | Comal County, where she enjoyed the beauty of the Hill Country; she |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | liked to cook and garden, and above all she treasured the time spent |

| 18 | 19 | | in the company of her loved ones; a woman of faith, she was a |

| 19 | 20 | | longtime member of Wallace Baptist Church in DeSoto Parish; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Madeline Haire possessed a generosity of spirit that |

| 21 | 22 | | expressed itself in myriad ways, and she enriched the lives of |

| 22 | 23 | | countless people with her warmth and kindness; now, therefore, be |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Madeline Hinds |
