| 7 | 8 | | Association (TACA) of Texas on June 18, 2018, and this achievement |

| 8 | 9 | | represents a significant milestone in her impressive career; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Denton County, Michelle |

| 10 | 11 | | French joined the county tax office as a clerk in 1982, and since |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | then, she has distinguished herself in positions of increasing |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | responsibility, including assistant supervisor, supervisor, |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | comptroller, and chief deputy; she was elected county tax |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | assessor-collector in 2012, and she continues to earn the respect |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | and admiration of both her professional peers and the public; she is |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | certified as a class IV registered Texas assessor-collector and a |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | professional county collector; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, TACA is the largest professional organization for |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | tax assessors and collectors in the state, and Ms. French has |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | served the association as secretary-treasurer and vice president |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | and as a member of the Program, Technology, By-Laws, Legislative, |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | and TxDMV Liaison Committees; she is also a member of the Texas |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | Association of Assessing Officers, and she has served her local |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | chapter as trustee, vice president, and president; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Despite her busy professional life, Ms. French has |

| 26 | 27 | | also made time to hold leadership positions with the Denton |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | Breakfast Kiwanis Club and the Denton Republican Women's Club; she |

| 28 | 29 | | has also been a Republican poll watcher, election judge, election |

| 29 | 30 | | clerk, and delegate to the state convention; and |

| 30 | 31 | | WHEREAS, Ms. French's dedication, professionalism, and |

| 31 | 32 | | integrity have greatly benefited her profession and the people of |

| 32 | 33 | | Denton County, and she may indeed reflect with pride on her record |

| 33 | 34 | | of achievement as she continues to represent her fellow tax |

| 34 | 35 | | assessors and collectors as leader of TACA; now, therefore, be it |
