45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Dawn Arnold-Garcia of the Girl Scouts of Central
67 Texas Troop No. 9000 in College Station has attained the Girl Scout
78 Gold Award, and this accomplishment truly merits recognition; and
89 WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Arnold-Garcia
910 successfully met a series of requirements emphasizing community
1011 service, personal and spiritual growth, positive values, and
1112 leadership skills; as part of that process, she planned and
1213 implemented a Girl Scout Gold Award project that will have a
1314 positive and lasting impact in her community; and
1415 WHEREAS, By fostering self-confidence and by encouraging
1516 young women to explore career opportunities and to become more
1617 socially conscious, the Girl Scout program is helping its
1718 participants to achieve their greatest potential as engaged
1819 citizens and leaders; and
1920 WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Arnold-Garcia
2021 has demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the
2122 highest ideals of the Girl Scouts, and she may indeed reflect with
2223 pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
2324 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
2425 Legislature hereby congratulate Dawn Arnold-Garcia on her receipt
2526 of the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her sincere best wishes
2627 for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
2728 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2829 prepared for Ms. Arnold-Garcia as an expression of high regard by
2930 the Texas House of Representatives.
