No. 1444 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories of Dorothy Fetters Haverlah of Pleasanton, who passed away on March 21, 2018, at the age of 90; and WHEREAS, The daughter of Edmund and Florence Fetters, the former Dorothy Fetters was born on July 1, 1927, in Leming; she wed Clydell Edward Haverlah in 1946, and they shared a rewarding marriage that spanned 53 years, before his death; Mrs. Haverlah took great pride in their children, Edward and Cynthia, as well as in their grandchildren, Page, Whitney, Megan, Brian, and Brooke, and great-grandchildren, Jonah, Ruth, Nolan, Amelia, Fletcher, and Daniel; and WHEREAS, In addition to working in the real estate business, Mrs. Haverlah set an inspiring example of civic and political engagement; she served as a member of the Pleasanton City Council and as president of the Woman's Club of Pleasanton, and she was a valued congregant of First United Methodist Church of Pleasanton; in her leisure time, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling the United States and Canada with her husband; and WHEREAS, With her generosity, graciousness, and delightful sense of humor, Dorothy Haverlah won the admiration and affection of all who knew her, and she is deeply missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Dorothy Fetters Haverlah and extend heartfelt sympathy to her family and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dorothy Fetters Haverlah.
