| 10 | 11 | | by Herbert Hunt and the William Herbert Hunt Trust as a way to |

| 11 | 12 | | attract families to the Dallas North Estates neighborhood; the pool |

| 12 | 13 | | was a popular destination for several decades, until its membership |

| 13 | 14 | | began to decline around the 2000s; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In recent years, a coalition of volunteers and |

| 15 | 16 | | historians has come together to help restore the Texas Pool; the |

| 16 | 17 | | Texas Pool Foundation was established in 2013, and its board |

| 17 | 18 | | members set their sights on securing designation of the pool as a |

| 18 | 19 | | national historic landmark, an endeavor that was met with unanimous |

| 19 | 20 | | support by the Texas Historical Commission in late 2018; this |

| 21 | 22 | | underwater tiles, a refurbished feature from its earlier days, that |
