8 | 9 | | one of the longest and most divisive conflicts in our nation's |

10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, More than three million members of the U.S. armed |

11 | 12 | | forces were deployed to Southeast Asia between the time of the |
---|
12 | 13 | | passage of the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution in 1964 and the final |
---|
13 | 14 | | withdrawal of American combat forces from Vietnam in 1973; and |

14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Whether they enlisted or were drafted, members of |

15 | 16 | | the Hunt County community were among those who bravely served as the |

16 | 17 | | "boots on the ground" in Vietnam, and their contributions played an |
