| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Charis Caprice Nyelle Nelson has ably served her |

| 7 | 8 | | Yvonne Davis during the 86th Legislative Session; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Nelson has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |

| 11 | 12 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Alvin and Nichelle Nelson, |

| 14 | 15 | | Ms. Nelson was born in Round Rock and grew up in an air force |

| 15 | 16 | | family; a graduate of Rejoice! Christian Academy Homeschool, she |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | has participated in a variety of extracurricular activities, |

| 17 | 18 | | including Civil Air Patrol, Girl Scouts of Central Texas, and the |

| 18 | 19 | | Austin Symphony Youth Leadership Council; she is currently |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | attending Austin Community College as a government major, and after |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | completing her associate degree, she plans to continue her |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | education at Baylor University; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 23 | 24 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |

| 24 | 25 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
