56 WHEREAS, Jacqueline K. Carr has been named valedictorian of
67 the Class of 2019 at Calallen High School in Corpus Christi, and she
78 indeed merits special recognition for receiving this significant
89 honor; and
910 WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
1011 intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
1112 highest academic standards; in securing her place as the top
1213 ranking student in her class, Ms. Carr demonstrated a thorough
1314 understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of
1415 this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable
1516 high school career; and
1617 WHEREAS, The daughter of Drs. Jay and Lana Carr, Ms. Carr
1718 plans to study biomedical engineering at Texas A&M University in
1819 College Station; and
1920 WHEREAS, During her years at Calallen High, Jacqueline Carr
2021 has earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers and
2122 classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment
2223 to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future
2324 for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby congratulate Jacqueline K. Carr on graduating
2627 as valedictorian of the Calallen High School Class of 2019 and
2728 extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
2829 begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for Ms. Carr as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3132 House of Representatives.
