45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Madison Singh has been named valedictorian of the
67 Class of 2019 at Veterans Memorial High School in Corpus Christi,
78 and she indeed merits special recognition for receiving this
89 significant honor; and
910 WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
1011 intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
1112 highest academic standards; in securing her place as the top
1213 ranking student in her class, Ms. Singh demonstrated a thorough
1314 understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of
1415 this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable
1516 high school career; and
1617 WHEREAS, The daughter of Ruby and Raghu Singh, Ms. Singh
1718 plans to study biology at Yale University following her graduation;
1819 and
1920 WHEREAS, During her years at Veterans Memorial High School,
2021 Madison Singh has earned the respect and admiration of both her
2122 teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and
2223 commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and
2324 promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore,
2425 be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby congratulate Madison Singh on graduating as
2728 valedictorian of the Veterans Memorial High School Class of 2019
2829 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
2930 begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Ms. Singh as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3233 House of Representatives.
