H.R. No. 1590
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Katelynn Odvina has been named valedictorian of the
Class of 2019 at Foy H. Moody High School, and she indeed merits
special recognition for receiving this significant honor; and
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
highest academic standards; Ms. Odvina demonstrated a thorough
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable
high school career; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Marlon and Candice Odvina, Ms.
Odvina plans to continue her education at The University of Texas at
San Antonio, studying biology; and
WHEREAS, During her years at Foy H. Moody High School,
Katelynn Odvina has earned the respect and admiration of both her
teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Katelynn Odvina on being named
valedictorian of the Class of 2019 at Foy H. Moody High School, and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Odvina as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
