45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Kelsey Lammons has ably served her fellow Texans as
67 a policy analyst in the office of State Representative Gene Wu
78 during the 86th Legislative Session; and
89 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Lammons has provided
910 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
1011 such as researching, responding to constituents, and attending
1112 hearings and briefings; in addition to gaining valuable experience
1213 in the field of public service, she has learned more about the
1314 legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star
1415 State; and
1516 WHEREAS, A student at The University of Texas at Austin,
1617 Ms. Lammons is graduating in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in
1718 social work as well as a certificate in public policy; she has
1819 served as a research assistant at University College Dublin and as a
1920 student fellow and peer mentor through the Austin City Hall Fellows
2021 Program, and she is currently a BSW intern for the Texas Center for
2122 Disability Studies; and
2223 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
2324 duties as a policy analyst with skill and dedication, and she is
2425 indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
2526 therefore, be it
2627 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
2728 Legislature hereby commend Kelsey Lammons for her service as a
2829 policy analyst in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and
2930 extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her
3031 endeavors; and, be it further
3132 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3233 prepared for Ms. Lammons as an expression of high regard by the
3334 Texas House of Representatives.
