| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Kelsey Lammons has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 7 | 8 | | during the 86th Legislative Session; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Lammons has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |

| 10 | 11 | | such as researching, responding to constituents, and attending |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | hearings and briefings; in addition to gaining valuable experience |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | in the field of public service, she has learned more about the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | State; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A student at The University of Texas at Austin, |

| 16 | 17 | | Ms. Lammons is graduating in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in |

| 17 | 18 | | social work as well as a certificate in public policy; she has |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | served as a research assistant at University College Dublin and as a |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | student fellow and peer mentor through the Austin City Hall Fellows |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Program, and she is currently a BSW intern for the Texas Center for |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | Disability Studies; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 23 | 24 | | duties as a policy analyst with skill and dedication, and she is |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend Kelsey Lammons for her service as a |
