| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jordan Davis has ably served her fellow Texans as an |

| 6 | 7 | | aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during the |

| 7 | 8 | | 86th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Davis has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; her responsibilities |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | have included meeting with groups related to assigned policy areas, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | writing memos to provide background and purpose for bills filed, |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | and shepherding several bills through the legislative process; |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | moreover, she has served as an administrator for the Texas House |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Democratic Caucus; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, A student at Sam Houston State University, Ms. Davis |

| 19 | 20 | | is majoring in finance with a minor in banking; she is a member of |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | the Elliott T. Bowers Honors College and Delta Sigma Theta |

| 21 | 22 | | Sorority, and she has benefited her school as a student ambassador; |

| 22 | 23 | | in addition, she is currently a volunteer for SAAFE House; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 24 | 25 | | duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |

| 25 | 26 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 27 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |

| 28 | 29 | | Legislature hereby commend Jordan Davis for her service as a |
