| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 6 | 7 | | mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Pat and Patricia Chase |

| 7 | 8 | | of Sulphur Springs celebrated this joyous milestone in their |

| 8 | 9 | | marriage on December 29, 2018; and |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chase met at Louisiana State |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | University in 1966 and were joined in matrimony two years later at |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Mrs. Chase's home church in Hammond; over the years, they have been |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | blessed with a treasured family that includes their three daughters |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | as well as their three grandsons; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Chase |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | farmed, bred and trained Belgian draft horses and worked for Alta |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Genetics, and Mrs. Chase taught at Sulphur Springs High School and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | served as a consultant for the Region I Education Service Center; |

| 18 | 19 | | they have also been active congregants of First Baptist Church, |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | where Mrs. Chase currently volunteers as a chaplain with the jail |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | ministry; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chase have enjoyed half a century of |

| 22 | 23 | | abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |

| 24 | 25 | | commitment; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Pat and Patricia Chase on their |

| 27 | 28 | | 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
