45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
67 mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Pat and Patricia Chase
78 of Sulphur Springs celebrated this joyous milestone in their
89 marriage on December 29, 2018; and
910 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chase met at Louisiana State
1011 University in 1966 and were joined in matrimony two years later at
1112 Mrs. Chase's home church in Hammond; over the years, they have been
1213 blessed with a treasured family that includes their three daughters
1314 as well as their three grandsons; and
1415 WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Chase
1516 farmed, bred and trained Belgian draft horses and worked for Alta
1617 Genetics, and Mrs. Chase taught at Sulphur Springs High School and
1718 served as a consultant for the Region I Education Service Center;
1819 they have also been active congregants of First Baptist Church,
1920 where Mrs. Chase currently volunteers as a chaplain with the jail
2021 ministry; and
2122 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chase have enjoyed half a century of
2223 abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
2324 exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
2425 commitment; now, therefore, be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby congratulate Pat and Patricia Chase on their
2728 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
2829 continued happiness; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3132 House of Representatives.
