| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Competing against some of the brightest young minds |

| 10 | 11 | | in Texas, the Clarendon team took fifth place in the 2A science |

| 11 | 12 | | event, in which Marquis McGuire ranked eighth place and Shylee |

| 12 | 13 | | Morrow, Tessa Lutters, and Josiah Howard finished in the top 30; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete in the state's |

| 14 | 15 | | premier high school academic competition, these accomplished young |

| 15 | 16 | | Texans have ably represented their school and community, and the |

| 16 | 17 | | dedication they have demonstrated is sure to serve them well in the |

| 18 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
