8 | 9 | | Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to |

9 | 10 | | resolve the differences on Senate Bill 891 (the operation and |

10 | 11 | | administration of and practice in and grants provided by courts in |
---|
11 | 12 | | the judicial branch of state government; increasing and imposing |
---|
12 | 13 | | fees; creating a criminal offense) to consider and take action on |

13 | 14 | | the following matter: |

14 | 15 | | House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(4) is suspended to permit the |
---|
15 | 16 | | committee to add text on a matter not included in either the house |
---|
16 | 17 | | or senate version of the bill by adding the following new SECTION to |

17 | 18 | | ARTICLE 13 of the bill: |

18 | 19 | | SECTION 13.01. Section 231.103(a), Family Code, is amended |
---|
19 | 20 | | to read as follows: |

20 | 21 | | (a) The Title IV-D agency may: |
---|
21 | 22 | | (1) charge a reasonable application fee; |
---|
22 | 23 | | (2) charge a $35 [$25] annual service fee; and |
---|
23 | 24 | | (3) to the extent permitted by federal law, recover |
---|
24 | 25 | | costs for the services provided in a Title IV-D case. |
---|
25 | 26 | | Explanation: The addition is necessary to amend the Family |
---|
26 | 27 | | Code to provide for an increase of the annual service fee charged by |
---|
27 | 28 | | the Title IV-D agency. |
