45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State of
67 Texas, 86th Legislature, Regular Session, 2019, That House Rule 13,
78 Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule 13,
89 Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to
910 resolve the differences on Senate Bill 891 (the operation and
1011 administration of and practice in and grants provided by courts in
1112 the judicial branch of state government; increasing and imposing
1213 fees; creating a criminal offense) to consider and take action on
1314 the following matter:
1415 House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(4) is suspended to permit the
1516 committee to add text on a matter not included in either the house
1617 or senate version of the bill by adding the following new SECTION to
1718 ARTICLE 13 of the bill:
1819 SECTION 13.01. Section 231.103(a), Family Code, is amended
1920 to read as follows:
2021 (a) The Title IV-D agency may:
2122 (1) charge a reasonable application fee;
2223 (2) charge a $35 [$25] annual service fee; and
2324 (3) to the extent permitted by federal law, recover
2425 costs for the services provided in a Title IV-D case.
2526 Explanation: The addition is necessary to amend the Family
2627 Code to provide for an increase of the annual service fee charged by
2728 the Title IV-D agency.
