| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 6 | 7 | | mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Bill and Diane Smith of |

| 7 | 8 | | Kirbyville celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on |

| 8 | 9 | | February 15, 2019; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Former residents of Florida, Mr. and Mrs. Smith met |

| 10 | 11 | | on a blind date at Jacksonville Beach and were joined in matrimony |

| 11 | 12 | | in 1969; over the years, they have been blessed with a treasured |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | family that includes their children, Michelle, Tandi, and Butch, as |

| 13 | 14 | | well as their grandchildren, Butch, Salem, and Haven; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Smith's career in the U.S. Army took them to |

| 15 | 16 | | Ethiopia, Korea, Okinawa, and Massachusetts before they settled in |

| 16 | 17 | | Kirbyville in 1976; Mr. Smith went on to serve in the Army National |

| 17 | 18 | | Guard and retired as a command sergeant major, while Mrs. Smith |

| 18 | 19 | | devoted herself to her home and family throughout their marriage; |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, This devoted couple have enjoyed five decades of |

| 21 | 22 | | abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |

| 22 | 23 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
