| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The team's 28 dancers arrived in Los Angeles on |

| 9 | 10 | | December 28 to prepare for the New Year's festivities; following a |

| 10 | 11 | | rigorous long weekend of rehearsals, their hard work paid off as |

| 11 | 12 | | they danced with HTEDance in the parade's opening number alongside |

| 12 | 13 | | grand marshal Chaka Khan, entertainer Jordan Fisher, and the Boys |

| 13 | 14 | | of Temecula; the Magic Belles' performance dazzled parade attendees |

| 14 | 15 | | as well as those tuning in from across the country; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, In addition to their participation in the Rose |

| 16 | 17 | | Parade, the Magic Belles have garnered numerous accolades at the |

| 17 | 18 | | national level; the team is a four-time national championship |

| 18 | 19 | | competitor, and in March 2018, it was crowned the medium class |

| 19 | 20 | | national champion team at the American Dance/Drill Team |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Benefiting from the direction of Rachel Hill and |

| 22 | 23 | | Marla Moore, the Magic Belles have demonstrated outstanding talent |

| 23 | 24 | | and commitment to excellence, and they are a source of great pride |

| 24 | 25 | | to their families, school, and community; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |
