| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Gainesville High School marching band earned a |

| 7 | 8 | | October 20, 2018, and this achievement would not have been possible |

| 8 | 9 | | without the contributions of Edith Mesta; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Redcoat Band brought to the |

| 10 | 11 | | tournament their characteristic poise and talent, as well as the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | confidence they have garnered from putting in hours of daily |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | practice; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Months of hard work paid off at the 2018 regional |

| 14 | 15 | | contest, when the Gainesville band turned in a performance that |

| 15 | 16 | | impressed each of the three judges and earned division one ratings |

| 16 | 17 | | across the board; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, By demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication, |

| 18 | 19 | | Edith Mesta has ably represented Gainesville High School and is |

| 19 | 20 | | indeed worthy of recognition; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |

| 21 | 22 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Edith Mesta on helping the |

| 22 | 23 | | Gainesville High School marching band earn a perfect score at the |
