| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Kimberly Johnson, a mathematics teacher at Borger |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The winners of these prestigious annual awards are |

| 10 | 11 | | first nominated for consideration by their fellow faculty members, |

| 11 | 12 | | and those who are later chosen as district Teacher of the Year |

| 12 | 13 | | become eligible for the regional honor; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, In addition to her exemplary work in the classroom, |

| 14 | 15 | | Ms. Johnson organized the first Borger High School Math Fair to |

| 15 | 16 | | showcase students' skills and accomplishments in math, science, and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | engineering; the event garnered participation from nearly 80 |

| 17 | 18 | | percent of the student body, and Ms. Johnson raised thousands of |

| 18 | 19 | | dollars for prizes and drummed up overwhelming community support |

| 19 | 20 | | from the fair's sponsors and attendees; moreover, she organized an |

| 20 | 21 | | impressive panel of judges consisting of executives and engineers |

| 21 | 22 | | from companies such as Solvay, Phillips 66, and CP Chem, and these |

| 22 | 23 | | industry professionals provided important feedback to the students |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Kimberly Johnson exemplifies the passion, |
