| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Garrison Raley of Crosbyton High School has earned a |

| 6 | 7 | | 4-H Gold Star Award, and this accomplishment truly merits special |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The highest county-level achievement award |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | conferred by Texas 4-H, the Gold Star Award was first presented in |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | 1933 to recognize the hard work of exemplary 4-H members; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, To qualify for the Gold Star Award, members must |

| 12 | 13 | | distinguish themselves by demonstrating leadership ability and by |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | participating in one or more community service initiatives; in |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | addition, recipients are required to belong to 4-H for a minimum of |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | three years and to complete projects in three different areas of |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | emphasis; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The son of Rusty and Debralee Norris, Garrison Raley |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | is an active member of the Crosby County 4-H Club; he has attended |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | the Texas 4-H Congress and taken part in shooting sports, livestock |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | judging, and citizenship and civic education projects; moreover, he |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | has raised funds for Animal Rescue of Crosby County, volunteered |

| 22 | 23 | | with the Ralls Lions Club Rodeo, and helped special needs students |

| 23 | 24 | | show animals; and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Through his hard work and commitment to excellence, |

| 25 | 26 | | Garrison Raley has brought great pride to his 4-H club, and he may |

| 26 | 27 | | indeed look forward to a future bright with promise; now, |
