| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jake Fisher of Muenster has distinguished himself as |

| 6 | 7 | | a valued member of the Muenster FFA; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Jake has raised four show hogs, which he keeps in the |

| 8 | 9 | | Muenster show barn south of town; he spends one to two hours with |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | the hogs every day, feeding them, taking them on walks, training |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | them, and ensuring that they remain in good health; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Now in his third year of showing hogs, Jake |

| 12 | 13 | | participates in an event almost every weekend, from local |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | competitions, such as the Muenster Livestock Show and the Cooke |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | County Junior Livestock Show, to larger-scale exhibitions, |

| 15 | 16 | | including the State Fair of Texas and the World Pork Expo in Iowa; |

| 16 | 17 | | he has received numerous awards and sold several of his animals, and |

| 17 | 18 | | he has even been invited to speak about his experiences; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, The son of Bobby and Lisa Fisher, Jake is a |

| 19 | 20 | | homeschool student in fifth grade; when not studying or caring for |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | his hogs, he enjoys playing basketball; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Jake Fisher has demonstrated tremendous skill and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | initiative, and he may indeed take pride in his many |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby recognize Jake Fisher for his achievements as a |

| 26 | 27 | | member of the Muenster FFA and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
