| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Samantha Meek of Newton has distinguished herself |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A member of the Golden Triangle Champs bowling team, |

| 9 | 10 | | Ms. Meek beat out talented athletes from across the state to win the |

| 10 | 11 | | gold medal in bowling for her division; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Competing in every sport, this talented athlete has |

| 12 | 13 | | participated in the Special Olympics for eight years; she attended |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games, where she earned a silver |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | medal, two bronze medals, and a fourth-place ribbon in track and |

| 15 | 16 | | field events; she has also represented her school, Newton High, in |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | volleyball and basketball; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, With her fine showing in the winter event, Samantha |

| 18 | 19 | | Meek has brought great credit to her family and to her community, |

| 19 | 20 | | and she may take justifiable pride in the skill and dedication she |

| 20 | 21 | | has demonstrated; now, therefore, be it |
