| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Shanee Marie Popwell of Collingsworth County has |

| 6 | 7 | | been named the recipient of a 2018 4-H Gold Star Award; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, First presented in 1933, the Gold Star Award was |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | created to recognize the hard work of exemplary 4-H members; it is |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | the highest county-level achievement prize conferred by 4-H; and |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, To qualify for the Gold Star Award, members must |

| 11 | 12 | | demonstrate leadership ability and participate in one or more |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | community service initiatives; in addition, they are required to |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | belong to 4-H for a minimum of three years, to complete projects in |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | three different areas of emphasis, and to participate in a variety |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | of activities; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Through hard work and an inspiring commitment to |

| 17 | 18 | | excellence, Shanee Marie Popwell has brought great credit to the |

| 18 | 19 | | Collingsworth County 4-H Club and may indeed look forward to a |

| 19 | 20 | | future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas |

| 21 | 22 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Shanee Marie Popwell on receiving a |
